Nantwich Equine Clinic is able to carry out a number of in-house laboratory diagnostics including running blood sampling for general health profiles, poor performance and critical care situations comprising haematology and biochemistry evaluation. We are also able to carry out faecal egg counts (FEC) in house, and offer further worming advise individually. We offer extensive laboratory diagnostics by using specific external facilities, which specialise in additional sampling such as pathology, histology, endocrinology, immunology and dermatology. Our experienced veterinary surgeons offer a wide range of surgical solutions covering a varied caseload. This includes orthopaedic and soft tissue surgery, respiratory, urogenital and dental surgery, and laser sarcoid removal. Nantwich Equine vets can offer extensive breeding packages, including the stabling of your mare whilst undergoing in-house breeding services. CCTV is fitted into our mare boxes and a nurse is on site 24hours a day to ensure best care practices. Pre-breeding health checks can be carried out at your request at home or on site. Both frozen and fresh AI can be carried out by experienced veterinary surgeons. Foaling advice and assistance is available. Our experienced veterinary team is able to perform extensive lameness evaluations incorporating imaging modalities including radiography and ultrasound. Medical investigations can also be carried out comprising ophthalmology, endocrinology such as EMS and Cushing’s disease, a wide array of dermatological disorders and endoscopy, which is useful for the diagnosis of respiratory disease.
General horse health is very important to owners and the veterinary surgeon caring for your animal. Nantwich Equine Vets are happy to carry out annual health checks on your horse/s, which may include annual dentistry, vaccinations and a general wellbeing evaluation. Geriatric care and dietary advice can also be discussed. Members of our team can also carry out microchipping and issue passports and can advise and carry out castration at a later stage.
